Quick Dionysus character design (as a girl). Dionysus is a girl because our model for figure drawing this week was a girl and I was being lazy. *cough*
Bjork's song "Venus as a Boy" is like my favorite song right now and I DON'T KNOW WHY. Maybe it's because I'm sick, but the odd mixing of Greek/Roman stuff and Indian sounding music is pretty right now.
I very much like this, especially the big chunky bits of shadows. Also her leaf is, of course, quite artistically placed. (:

ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the album "Hemispheres" by Rush. Its a concept album and the story is all about Apollo and Dionysus fighting over how mankind should live. (and it's got killer music!)
